Head Coach: Rob Worsley
Coach Worsley is entering his first year as the head men’s soccer coach at TFC. He played for the Eagles from 1991-95 and earned All-Region honors in his final season. After the conclusion of his playing days at TFC, Worsley began his coaching career as the first women’s head coach at TFC from 1996-98. During that time he helped establish the program in its transition from club to varsity status. In 1999 Worsley became the Head Varsity Boy’s coach at Irondale High School in St. Paul, MN and served in that capacity for seven years. During that time he was named Region Coach of the Year in 2001, and he also coached at the youth club level. He returned to TFC to work in Student Development in 2008 and served as an assistant coach for both men’s and women’s teams for the last two years. He becomes the seventh men’s soccer coach in TFC history. He lives in Toccoa with his wife, Lou, their two young daughters and a son.
Assistant Coach: Chris Vena
Chris Vena, a full-time faculty member in the Bible and Theology Department, is entering his fourth season as the men’s assistant coach at TFC. Vena was a standout player for the Eagles earning All-Region (1993-94) and NCCAA Honorable Mention All-American (1994) honors during his playing career.
Vena began his coaching experience with the Eagles as an assistant under former head coach Dan Woerner in 1995. Prior to his return to this role at TFC in 2007, he also coached both boys and girls at the High School and Club levels in St. Paul, MN. He currently holds a USSF National “D” License and is actively involved as a coach with the North Georgia Soccer Association youth soccer club.
Coach Vena lives in Toccoa with his wife, Christy, and their three daughters.
Assistant Coach: Jake Warren
Coach Warren is reprising his role as Assistant for the men`s soccer team, working primarily with the Goalkeepers.
He played 3 seasons for the Eagles. Jake earned first team All Region awards each year and won first team All American honors twice. He was a part of the 2005 team that won the South Region Championship and finished fourth at the NCCAA National Tournament. Jake also played one season for Covenant College (NAIA) where he was first team all Conference, first team All Region and Honorable Mention All American. Jake currently plays in the NPSL for Chattanooga F.C., a semi Professional club.
